Help your membership support your ministry with Online Giving!

Church members who prefer managing their finances online are now able to donate funds via credit card through our E-Giving module. Even those who are not able to attend church regularly can have the opportunity to be connected with the church through the act of giving, whether its to missions, building fund, or a specific ministry, you can setup as many designated areas as you want! Members can also setup the frequency and amounts they want to give either through credit card or electronic check, all of which goes directly into your bank account.

Check out Living Truth Christian Center to see an example of Online Giving.

Check out this new website from faithHighway.

Abundant Life Church

While this site has many great features including Sermon Flow, Interactive Calendar, and Flash Rotation, the thing that makes this site stand out the most is the excellent content work. We wanted to take the opportunity to remind all of you about the importance of developing, organizing, and maintaining good and relevant content. Some of the good content elements on the Abundant Life Church website are:

  • Quicklink buttons within their content to make the site easy to navigate
  • Good color selections for their text
  • Matching the graphics well to the text

Read Tips for Creating Excellent Content for more ideas on how you can create great content for your website.

The New Year came quickly, and I can’t believe we’re already a month into it! We’re excited about 2011 and look forward to 11 more months of it!

As we always do, we thought we’d give you a list of our top blog posts from January. This month we had a couple of bumps in the road due to our switch to a new data center. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience during this time and are excited to provide you with long-term reliability of all our websites and services.  This was an exciting move for us!

Here are the top posts from January:

  1. Why did faithHighway move to a new Data Center?
  2. Tweets on Leadership- This was meant to make you laugh and we hope we achieved that. No, this is not what we believe leadership really looks like.
  3. Go live of the week: Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church
  4. The Beauty of Social Media on a Mission Trip
  5. Jump Start the New Year
  6. New Research on How Churches use the Web and Social Media
  7. Creating Outreach Opportunities in 2011
  8. Healthy Perspectives
  9. Featured product of the week:  Sermon Connect
  10. Social Networkers are more likely to volunteer than Non-Internet Users

A great way to create a welcoming feel on your website is to include pictures of the people and events that make up your organization. The flash photo gallery from faithHighway will help you present your photos with excellence.

You can allow visitors to see your church as a community of believers who like to fellowship with one another. Upload up to 20 different photos and write captions for each one. It’s a great way to communicate what your church is all about, because you know “a picture is worth a thousand words.” You can further the experience through extended Directory or Virtual Tour by adding additional floating pages, or we can create a virtual tour of your church using flash.

Check out the following sites to see examples of Flash Photo Galleries:
